Account Deletion
If you need to permanently remove your Thallus account and all associated data, you can request deletion from the Settings page. Deletion includes a 30-day grace period so you can change your mind.
Requesting deletion
Navigate to Settings → General and scroll to the Danger Zone at the bottom of the page. Click Delete Account to open the confirmation dialog.
• Uploaded documents and chunks
• Memories and preferences
• API keys and OAuth connections
• Workflows and execution history
• Team memberships
For password-based accounts, you must enter your current password. For SSO-only accounts (no password set), type the word DELETE instead.
If you are the sole admin of a non-personal organization, you must either transfer admin rights or remove other members before you can delete your account.
30-day grace period
After confirming, your account enters a 30-day grace period. You'll receive a confirmation email with the scheduled deletion date.
Cancelling deletion
To cancel a pending deletion, simply log back in before the scheduled date. The deletion is automatically cancelled — no additional steps needed. The pending deletion flags are cleared on login, and your account returns to normal.
What gets deleted
When the grace period ends, a background task picks up your account and permanently deletes:
- Conversations — all messages, attachments, and conversation metadata
- Documents — uploaded files, processed chunks, and document synopses
- Memories — all stored memories and preferences
- API keys — all active and revoked keys
- OAuth connections — all linked integration tokens
- Workflows — all workflow definitions, versions, and execution history
- Team memberships — removed from all organizations
- Personal organization — deleted if no other members remain
Your Stripe subscription is automatically cancelled as part of the deletion process.
What's preserved (cold storage)
For legal compliance and trial abuse prevention, a minimal anonymized record is retained after deletion. This record contains no conversation content, documents, memories, or other user-generated data — only the minimum information required for audit trail integrity and abuse prevention.
