Getting Started

This guide walks you through creating your Thallus account, setting up your profile, and navigating the interface.

Creating your account

To create an account, visit the registration page and fill in the following:

  • Full name — Your display name across the platform
  • Email address — Used for login and notifications
  • Password — Must meet the strength requirements below
  • Confirm password — Must match exactly
  • Terms acceptance — You must agree to the Terms of Use, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy
  • CAPTCHA — Verifies you're a human

Password requirements:

Requirement Details
Length Between 12 and 128 characters
Uppercase At least one uppercase letter
Lowercase At least one lowercase letter
Number At least one digit
Special character At least one non-alphanumeric character

Verifying your email

After registering, you'll receive a verification email with a confirmation link. You must verify your email before you can log in.

  • Token expiry — Verification links expire after 24 hours
  • Resending — If you didn't receive the email, you can request a new one. Resends are rate-limited to 3 per hour per IP address, with a 5-minute cooldown between resends to the same email
  • Blocked until verified — Login is disabled until your email is confirmed

Your workspace

When you register, Thallus automatically creates a personal organization for you named "{Your Name}'s Workspace". This is your default workspace where you can start using the platform immediately.

Organizations are the multi-tenancy boundary in Thallus — all your conversations, documents, data connections, and workflows are scoped to your organization.

Logging in

Enter your email and password on the login page. If your credentials are correct and your email is verified, you'll be taken to the chat interface.

  • Account lockout — After 5 consecutive failed login attempts, your account is locked for 15 minutes
  • SSO login — If your organization uses Single Sign-On (OIDC or SAML), you can log in via your identity provider by entering your organization's slug on the login page

Setting up your profile

After logging in, visit Settings to customize your profile:

  • Name — Update your display name
  • Timezone — Set your local timezone for scheduling and timestamps
  • Appearance — Choose between Light, Dark, or Auto (follows your system preference)

The interface is divided into a collapsible sidebar and a main content area.

The main content area displays whichever section you've selected. When you first log in, you'll land on the Chat page — the primary way to interact with Thallus.
